Step by step process
Step 1 Form Acquisition and Submission Process: The applicant begins by obtaining the Application Form from the Plant Quarantine Wing of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) or downloading it from the official website. After completing the form, the applicant pays the required fees and receives a Treasury Challan as proof of payment. Then, the applicant submits the completed Application Form along with all necessary documents to the designated authority, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Step 2 HS Code Verification: The Assistant Deputy Director (ADD) verifies the Harmonized System (HS) Code of the proposed import product to ascertain its permissibility under regulations.
Step 3 Application Assessment & Approval: If the product meets regulatory criteria, the Entry Level Officer or ADD initiates a file for the application and forwards it to the Deputy Director (DD) for further review. The Deputy Director (DD) then approves the import permit, contingent upon obtaining authorization from the Director, signifying adherence to regulatory standards.
Step 4 Permit Collection: Upon approval, the applicant retrieves the authorized Import Permit, completing the formal process of obtaining permission for the importation of plants and plant-related products**.**
