EXPORT PERMIT

The issuance of fresh export permits is crucial for facilitating international trade while ensuring regulatory compliance. Governed by the Export Policy Order spanning 2021 to 2024, these permits regulate and authorize the exportation of goods across borders. This legal framework establishes guidelines and procedures for exporters, promoting transparency and efficiency in global trade activities.

Process Steps

Step 1 Application Submission: The application collects the necessary forms and documents from the CCI&E (Chief Controller of Imports and Exports) office. Once completed, it is submitted to the CCI&E along with the required documents.

Step 2 Initial Review and Assessment: Upon submission, the application is forwarded to the Chief Controller of CCI&E for initial review and processing. The Chief Controller then assesses the application and forwards it to the Export Division within the CCI&E for further evaluation. If the Export Division finds all submitted documents correct and sufficient for obtaining an export permit, they proceed with the application.

Step 3 Review and Further Processing: The Assistant Controller reviews the application and then forwards it to the Deputy Controller for additional scrutiny and processing.

Step 4 Final Assessment and Approval: The Deputy Controller thoroughly examines the application and forwards it to the Controller for a comprehensive review. Upon approval, the Controller sends the application back to the Chief Controller for final oversight.

Step 5 Issuance of Export Permit and Dispatch: After the final review by the Controller, the Export Division issues the export permit. This permit is signed by both the Assistant Controller and the Executive Officer. Once finalized, the export permit is dispatched to the applicant for their records and use in exportation activities
