LICENSE FOR EXPLOSIVES TRANSPORTATION BY LAND (FORM-18)

The transportation of explosives by land is a highly regulated activity, requiring strict adherence to legal frameworks to ensure safety and security. In India, this regulatory framework is primarily governed by the Petroleum Act of 2016 and the Petroleum Rules of 1937, as amended in 2010. These legal instruments outline the requirements and procedures for obtaining a license to transport explosives, ensuring that such activities are conducted in a controlled and safe manner.

Step by step all process

Step 1 Collecting & Submitting Form: The first step in obtaining a license for transporting explosives by land involves visiting the concerned regulatory office to collect the prescribed application Form 7. After collecting the form, the applicant must fill it out accurately and gather all necessary documents, including identification proof, details of the explosives to be transported, safety measures to be adopted, and the explosive import permit. Once all documents are ready, they must be submitted to the regulatory office for review.

Step 2 Making a Payment and Collecting the Treasury Challan: Following the submission of the application and documents, the applicant is required to pay the prescribed license fee. This payment is typically made at a designated bank or treasury. Upon completing the payment, the applicant receives a treasury challan, which serves as proof of payment and must be submitted back to the regulatory office as part of the application process.

Step 3 Issuance and Collection of the License: The regulatory authority then verifies the submitted documents and payment. This involves a detailed review to ensure all safety and regulatory requirements are met. If the application is satisfactory, the authority issues the license. The applicant then collects the issued license from the regulatory office. This license, documented on Form-18, legally permits the holder to transport explosives by land under the specified conditions and regulations. Compliance with all stipulated safety measures and regulations during transportation is essential to maintain the validity of the license.
