In Bangladesh, the process for fresh issuance of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Service Provider (VSP) licenses is governed by a robust legal framework. This framework includes the Bangladesh Telecommunication Act of 2001 (as amended), the Wireless & Telecommunication Act of 1933, and the Telegraph Act. Additionally, the Licensing Procedure Regulation of 2004 (as amended) outlines the procedural requirements, while the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) oversees interconnection arrangements through the Interconnection Regulation Act. Complemented by Acts of Parliament, ordinances, and regulations by the Commission, this framework ensures a fair, compliant, and competitive environment for telecommunications services in Bangladesh.
