Step by step process
Step 1 Collect and Submit Application Form: The applicant begins by collecting the application form from the Plant Protection Wing of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) or downloading it from the DAE website. After filling in the form, the applicant deposits the required fees through a Treasury Challan and collects the money receipt. The completed application form (Form no. 5), along with all necessary documents and the Treasury Challan, is then submitted to the Plant Protection Wing of the DAE.
Step 2 Verification of Application: After receiving the application, the authority checks that the pesticides are registered and comply strictly with the registration requirements. Additionally, the pesticides must be packed and labeled in accordance with the relevant rules, and the importer must have proper facilities for their storage.
Step 3 Approval of License: If the licensing authority is satisfied that the premises for which the license is to be granted are adequate and equipped with proper storage facilities to avoid any hazards and to preserve the pesticides properly, the authority approves the license.
Step 4 Issuance of License: The applicant then receives the license, officially authorizing them to import pesticides.
