Approval for Electricity Connection (Small Industries Customer up-to 49 KW load)

Approval for electricity connection for small industries with loads up to 49 KW involves obtaining formal authorization from utility providers or regulatory bodies. This process ensures compliance with infrastructure compatibility, safety protocols, and electrical codes, enabling reliable power supply crucial for small-scale industrial operations. Section 10(3) of the Bangladesh Power Development Board’s order (President’s Order No. 59 of 1972) mandates the BPDB’s role in “generation, transmission, and distribution of power,” as well as the “construction, maintenance, and operation of powerhouses and grids,” underscoring the legal foundation for managing and regulating electricity connections in Bangladesh.
