BASIS MEMBERSHIP CERTIFICATE

The BASIS Membership Certificate recognizes IT and software companies in Bangladesh for adhering to industry standards set by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). Governed by the DTO Rules and BASIS Articles, it ensures legal and ethical operation, enhancing member credibility within the industry.

Required list of all documents:

  1. Trade License [Original Copy duly attested by the owner of the company; in which the business type should be mentioned as software, IELTS and/or ICT activities]
  2. TIN Certificate [Original Copy duly attested by the owner of the company]
  3. Company Profile [Describing infrastructure, human resource, business activity, capability and experience of the Organizing/ Company; Original Copy duly attested by the owner of the company;]
  4. Memorandum & Articles of Association (including the copy of certificate of Incorporation), in case of incorporate Organization/Company or Deed of Partnership in case of Partnership Company [Original copy duly attested by the owner of the company]
  5. Details of the representative, in terms of educational and professional background with two copy passport size photographs [Original copy duly attested by the owner of the company]
  6. Board Resolution Copy in favor of BASIS representative (Mentioning the name of the representative) [Original copy duly attested by the owner of the company]
  7. Pay order in favor of “BASIS” amounting BDT 20,000 for General Members and BDT 10,000 for Associate Member’s application processing
  8. Printed corporate brochure [If available]
  9. Reference from two registered BASIS member companies) [List available at www.basis.org.bd]
  10. Logo (only jpg format allowed) and printed materials (only PDF format accepted) in electronic format [BASIS uploads these in the website]

Step by step all process

Step 1 Prepare and Submit Application: Begin by completing the Application Form, Categorization Form, and Compliance Form available on the BASIS Website. Ensure compliance by accurately filling out these forms. Gather all necessary documents specified by BASIS and attach them to the application package. Include the required pay orders as outlined to cover any associated fees. Once the application package is complete, physically deliver it to the BASIS office located at BDBL Bhaban (Level-5), 12 Kawran Bazar, Dhaka-1215, Bangladesh.

Step 2 Review and Company Visit: Await the review process conducted by BASIS officials to assess the completeness and accuracy of the submitted application. BASIS officials may also conduct an on-site visit to the applicant’s company premises to gather firsthand information and insights, preparing a comprehensive report based on their findings.

Step 3 Report Submission to Board and Executive Council: The report generated from the company visit is presented to both the monthly Board meeting and the monthly Board meeting (Executive Council) of BASIS for evaluation and consideration.

Step 4 Membership Confirmation and Certificate: Upon receiving final approval from the Board, BASIS confirms the applicant’s membership status, signifying successful completion of the membership process. Finally, upon confirmation of membership, the applicant is issued a Membership Certificate as tangible proof of their membership in BASIS.

Renewal process

Required list of all documents

  1. Pay order in favor of “BASIS” amounting BDT 10,000 for General Members and BDT 5,000 for Associate Member’s renewal (Original Copy)
  2. Updated Trade License (The applicants to provide an updated trade license for being eligible for becoming a voter)
  3. Updated TIN Certificate (The applicant has to provide an updated TIN Certificate for being eligible for becoming a voter)
  4. Compliance Form

Step by step all process:

Step 1 Deposits Renewal Fees and Collects Pay Order: In this initial step, the member deposits the renewal fees required for the Basis membership certificate renewal. Following the deposit, a pay order is collected from the relevant authority or organization.

Step 2 Submits Pay Order and Collects Compliance Form: Once the pay order is obtained, the member submits it to the appropriate department or entity. Upon submission, the member then collects a compliance form required for the renewal process.

Step 3 Fills in the Compliance Form and Submits the Form: With the compliance form in hand, the member completes all necessary fields and provides the required information as per the renewal guidelines. After filling out the form, it is submitted to the relevant administrative body or department.

Step 4 Completion of the Renewal: Upon successful submission and review of the compliance form, the renewal process is finalized. The Basis membership certificate is then officially renewed, completing the process.
