The Indenting Registration Certificate (IRC) is essential for indenting businesses in Bangladesh, allowing them to facilitate import transactions legally. Governed by the Import Policy Order of 2021-2024, the IRC authorizes firms to act as intermediaries between foreign suppliers and local buyers. It includes key details such as the firm’s name, validity period, and government-imposed regulations. Obtaining an IRC involves a formal application process overseen by the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports (CCI&E), ensuring compliance and transparency in import operations.
