Step by step all process
Step 1 Application form collection & submission: The applicant collects the Prescribed Form² from the One Stop Service (OSS) Section of the BSTI Office or downloads it from the website, and then submits the application along with all the supporting documents at the One Stop Service (OSS).
Step 2 Document Verification and Inspection: A BSTI official checks the documents, provides a date for the factory inspection, and inspects the health and hygiene conditions of the factory premises. The Field Officer (BSTI official) then seals a sample product randomly for testing.
Step 3: Sample Submission and Fee Payment The applicant submits the sealed sample and deposits the test fee at the OSS.
Step 4: Product Testing BSTI carries out the test according to the relevant Bangladesh Standard at the BSTI Lab Wing.
Step 5 Payment and License Issuance The CM wing of BSTI verifies the inspection and test report and prepares a bill for the Certificate and License fee based on the formula: {(0.1% of approximate production capacity) * (ex-factory price)}. OSS dispatches the bill to the applicant, who then deposits the bill at the OSS of BSTI. Once the bill is paid, the applicant obtains the Certificate Mark License.
