Step to Step all Process:
Step 1: Application Form Collection & Submission: Applicant collects the Application Form from the website of DPDT, deposits the registration fees through Pay Order/ Bank Draft, and submits the completed Application along with required documents at the Central Dispatch of DPDT.
Step 2 Review & Verification: After receiving the application, Central Dispatch forwards it directly to the GI Goods Section. The GI Goods Section then proceeds to check the Application and sends it to the Deputy Registrar for verification. Once verified, the Deputy Registrar returns the Application to the GI Goods Section for further processing.
Step 3 Examination and Routing to Assistant Registrar (AR): The GI Goods Section then initiates the formal processing of the application. A dedicated file is opened and passed to the Examiner of GI Goods for detailed scrutiny. The Examiner subsequently forwards the application sequentially to the Assistant Registrar (AR), who reviews it before passing it on to the Deputy Registrar (DR) and ultimately to the Registrar for final approval.
Step 4 Approval and Certificate Preparation: Upon receiving the Registrar’s approval, the GI Goods Section prepares the Registration Certificate for GI Goods.
Step 5 Collection of Registration Certificate: Applicant collects the Registration Certificate of GI Goods from the relevant authorities.
