IMPORT PERMIT (BEZA)

An Import Permit is a critical regulatory document required for the lawful importation of goods into a country. In the context of Bangladesh, the issuance and management of such permits are governed by the Bangladesh Economic Zones Act, 2010. Step by step all process

Step 1 Application Submission and Document Verification: The import permit process begins with the submission of the application via the OSS online system. This initial step allows the applicant to electronically submit all required documentation for review. Following submission, the next step involves the verification of documents to ensure they meet all necessary standards and compliance requirements.

Step 2 Import Permit Award and Customs Confirmation: Once the documents are verified, the import permit is awarded, granting authorization for the import of goods. Subsequently, a confirmation of the import permit is sent to the Customs authorities at the zone gate. This confirmation is crucial for facilitating the entry of goods into the economic zone.

Step 3 Gate Verification and Pass Generation: Upon reaching the gate, the permit’s validity is further confirmed through verification at the gates. This ensures that all import procedures are correctly followed. The final stage in the process involves receiving confirmation of verification from the relevant port authority. With this verification in hand, the generation of the gate pass is completed, allowing the goods to proceed through the gate and enter the economic zone.
