Step by step process
Step 1: Application and Document Submission: The applicant begins by preparing an application on the company’s official letterhead, addressing it to the Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock (MOFL). This application must include all required supporting documents, such as business registration details, project plans, and any other relevant information. The complete application package is then submitted to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock for initial review.
Step 2: Ministry Forwarding: The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock forwards the application to the Department of Fisheries (DOF) Head Office, which then sends it to the Deputy Director of the concerned Fish Inspection and Quality Control (FIQC) unit.
Step 3: Feasibility Study and Recommendations: The Deputy Director of FIQC conducts a feasibility study on the applicant’s proposal and submits their recommendations to the Director General of DOF.
Step 4: Review and Opinion: The Director General of the Department of Fisheries reviews the recommendations provided by the Deputy Director. This review ensures that the feasibility study and the recommendations align with national policies and regulatory frameworks. After a detailed evaluation, the Director General formulates an official opinion on the application and forwards this opinion back to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
Step 5: Issuance of NOC: Finally, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock reviews the opinion received from the Department of Fisheries. If the application is found to be satisfactory and in compliance with all regulations, the Ministry issues the No Objection Certificate to the applicant.
