It involves formal enrollment with relevant authorities, as mandated by the Fish & Animal Feed Act 2010 and Fish Feed Rules-2011, to monitor and manage breeding practices, biosecurity measures, and environmental impact. Step by step process

Step 1 Establishment and Application Process: Establish Hatchery as per the requirements of the Rules of Fish Hatchery-2011 and determine the category of hatchery:

  • Category (1): Carp fish breed producing Hatchery
  • Category (2): PL producing Hatchery of Goldha and Bagdha
  • Category (3): Others Local fish producing Hatchery (Perch, catfish, Snake head)
  • Category (4): Hatchery of Mono sex Tilapia fish
  • Category (5): Hatchery of Aquarium fish
  • Category (6): Hatchery other Aquatic Animal except fish

Step 1 Application form collection & Submission: Gather the required documents and attach them with the Application, then submit the Application to the District Fisheries Office/Aquaculture Office, Department of Fisheries.

Step 2 Application Review and Verification: The District Fisheries Officer (DFO) receives and reviews the application, then DFO forwards it to the Concerned Fisheries Officer for verification.

Step 3 Inspection and Approval Process: The concerned Fisheries Officer verifies the application, conducts an inspection of the hatchery, and submits the inspection reports to the DFO. If everything is satisfactory, the relevant officer notifies the applicant to deposit the fees.

Step 4 Fee Deposit and Certificate Preparation: The applicant deposits the registration fees through Treasury Challan. Upon fee deposition, the section prepares the certificate, which is then issued by the District Fisheries Officer.

Step 5: Certificate Acquisition: Applicant receives the Registration Certificate, completing the registration process.

  7. Treasury Challan [Original]

Step by step process

Step 1 Application form collection & Submission: For renewal applicant fills out the Prescribed Form-1 [Rules 3 (1)] under the relevant category-

  • Category 1: Carp fish breed producing Hatchery
  • Category 2: PL producing Hatchery of Goldha and Bagdha
  • Category 3: Other Local fish producing Hatchery (Perch, Catfish, Snake head)
  • Category 4: Mono sex Tilapia Hatchery
  • Category 5: Aquarium fish Hatchery
  • Category 6: Other Aquatic Organisms except fish

Then, gather and attach all necessary documents, and submit the completed application along with the attached documents to the District Fisheries Office, Department of Fisheries.

Step 2 Initial Review and Forwarding: The District Fisheries Officer (DFO) receives, reviews the application, and forwards it to the Concerned Fisheries Officer for further verification.

Step 3 Verification and Inspection: The Concerned Fisheries Officer verifies the application and the attached documents, and conducts an inspection of the hatchery.

Step 4 Report Submission and Fee Deposit: Submission of Report and Fee Payment: Following the inspection, the Concerned Fisheries Officer submits a report to the DFO. If the report meets the necessary standards, the relevant officer notifies the applicant to pay the registration fees. The applicant then deposits the registration fees via Treasury Challan. Upon payment, the applicant submits a copy of the Treasury Challan to the District Fisheries Office.

Step 5 Certificate Preparation and Issuance: The District Fisheries Officer prepares and issues the renewal of the Hatchery Registration Certificate to the applicant. Then the applicant collects the renewal of the Hatchery Registration Certificate.
