A work permit is an official authorization that allows non-citizens to legally work within a specific country for a designated period. It is typically required for individuals seeking employment opportunities in a foreign country. Work permits outline the terms, conditions, and limitations of employment, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. In Bangladesh, for example, the issuance and regulation of work permits are governed by the Bangladesh Economic Zones Act, 2010. This Act provides a legal framework for the establishment and operation of economic zones, including the procedures and requirements for foreign workers to obtain work permits within these zones.
