TRADE MARKS REGISTRATION
Trademark registration provides legal protection for the unique symbols, names, and logos that distinguish a business’s products or services. By securing a trademark, a business gains exclusive rights to use its distinctive mark, preventing others from using similar signs and maintaining brand integrity.
In Bangladesh, the legal basis for trademark registration is the Trademarks Act, 2009. This Act outlines the criteria for registrable trademarks, the application and examination procedures, and the rights conferred upon successful registration. It also details enforcement mechanisms to protect trademarks against infringement. Adhering to the Trademarks Act, 2009 ensures legal recognition and protection for business trademarks.
